Price and Andre’s ‘Marriage and Mayhem’

Singer Peter Andre and glamour model Katie Price have announced their split after nearly four years of marriage.  Their turbulent relationship has meant many lucrative advertising and magazine deals.

Andre went into I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here show in Australia in 2004.  It had been six years since he had entered the charts. 

In 1996 he had two number one hits, Flava and I Feel For You. But Andres trademark song, Mysterious Girl only reached number two in the UK charts.

Katie Price, alter ego Jordan is well known for her surgically enhanced breasts and page three newspaper photos.

She has dated celebrities such as boy band member Dane Bowers, reality pop star Gareth Gates.  And footballer Dwight Yorke who is father to her son Harvey.

Price took part in many of the gruesome jungle trials, which won her much respect from the British public.

Love Blossoms

Andre attempted to impress Price by mocking her ex boyfriend Gates.  He also wrote her a song called Insania.  Andre continuously serenaded her but Price refused to kiss on air.

But Andre revealed they shared their first kiss together in the Australian hotel contestants stayed at, after the show finished.

Price fell pregnant with their first child, Junior in June 2005.  The couple got married in September 2005 in a lavish ceremony at Highclere Castle, Hampshire.

They sold their wedding right for two million pounds to a magazine Hello! And for the wedding to be televised on ITV.  Her bridesmaid included fellow contestant Kerry Katona.

The first all access documentary was When Jordan Met Peter in 2004.  Then it was followed by Jordan and Peter: Marriage and Mayhem, Katie and Peter: The Next Chapter, Katie and Peter: Unleashed, Katie and Peter: Stateside.

In July 2008, they collaborated together releasing the album,  A Whole New World.  It reached Number 20 in the official UK top 40 album chart.

Future prospects

In 2008, the High Court awarded them libel damages.  And the News of the World Newspaper apologised for alleging Price and Andre were bad parents.

According to Britain’s Rich List, Katie Price is worth £30 million.  Among her business ventures she has a bedding, equestrian, hair care range and written a book, Angel Uncovered published in 2008.

Andre’s spokeswoman Claire Powell told New York Daily News, “I’ve just followed Peter to Indian Film Awards in Macau, China, which was absolutely amazing.”  It also reports Andre has reportedly signed a $1.8 million Bollywood movie deal and TV show.

Price’s spokesperson also confirmed to Daily Mirror that the 30-year-old, “has signed a separate deal and will be filming her own show.”

Bookmaker William Hill has offered odds of 2/1 that the couple will get back together this year.  And 6/1 they will renew their marriage vows for another glossy magazine.
