Andre opens up about split with Price

Peter Andre told Chris Moyles on BBC Radio One breaking up with his wife, Katie Price has been “the worst few months of my life.”

The couple announced their separation on 11^th May after nearly four years of marriage.   The pair married at Highclere Castle in Berkshire.

Price, 30, and Andre, 36, found romance whilst starring on the reality TV show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The couple have been well known for their bickering, which is often highlighted in their the latest TV offering Katie and Peter: The Next Chapter Stateside.

Andre wrote in his column for New! Magazine, “How anyone could think I would pretend to split up from my wife to grab headlines is beyond me.  It’s just sick.”

Peter Andre became stepfather to Price’s son, Harvey whose father is footballer Dwight Yorke.  The former couple also have two children of their own, Princess Tiaamii and Junior.

Andre declared on Radio One, his children are the most important thing in his life.  And were the motivating factors which had initially made him stay with Price to, “make the relationship work.”

He said, “The kids are awesome.  They give you a sense of stability.  They make you humble.”  But he declared there was no chance of getting back together.

Katie Price, also known as glamour model Jordan has been the focus of attention in the news.  The Daily Mirror pictured her partying, in revealing clothes kissing a mystery man in Ibiza.

But Peter Andre doesn’t want the press coverage to continue.  Because he fears it might impact badly on his children.

“I don’t want her to be getting bad press because I don’t want the kids to grow up and read it.”  Neither of them have stated a specific reason behind the marriage split.

After the split in May, Katie Price said in a statement, “Pete is the love of my life and is my life.”

“We have children together and I am devastated and disappointed by his decision to separate and divorce me, as I married him for life.”

Andre revealed he and Katie Price are still under contract with a TV production company.  And he is now recording for his own show about his new album release.

In addition, Katie has also vowed not to do any more interviews regarding her relationship with Peter.  Peter said, ‘I want to sort the matter out in private.”

But according to Price’s former management company Can Associates, she is confirmed to do a interview with Piers Morgan about the marriage split.
